NLT members are calling on Congress to pass a sunset law so that regulations issued by federal agencies automatically die unless they are proved to be necessary and cost effective.

 

In 2025 government regulations cost the U.S. economy at least 2.1 trillion annually. This number is mushrooming. A sunset law on government regulations would force outdated, counterproductive decrees to expire.

 

This would remove the bureaucratic red tape that is stifling economic growth.
